Julien Berthier (* 1975 in Besançon , France ) is a French draftsman , sculptor and installation artist .

Julien Berthier attended the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris and has been internationally active since the early 2000s. The artist lives and works in Paris and Aubervilliers and works primarily in the field of art in public spaces . Among the best-known works by Berthier are the installation Les Specialistes , realized with the artist Simon Boudvier in 2006 , an illegally assembled, detailed replica of an entrance portal in the rue Chapon in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, and Love Love , a seaworthy yacht that gives the impression of being at the moment To be held on to doom. In 2015 he realized the work Monumental Break at Wiener Graben , for which he deconstructed a fictional equestrian statue made of bronze.
