Julio Benlloch

Julio Benlloch y Casarés (born November 5, 1893 in Meliana , Valencia province , † June 24, 1919 ibid) was a Spanish sculptor.

Benlloch studied from 1910 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia .

His best-known work is the statue Despertar , which he created in 1916 for the Jardines del Real in Valencia. The marble statue shows a bared woman. For this work he was awarded third place at the Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes .
