Julio Escoto

Julio Escoto (* 1944 in Honduras ) is a Honduran writer. He lives in San Pedro Sula / Honduras.

Julio Escoto writes short stories, short stories, novels and essays and is currently considered the most successful storyteller in Honduras. Before the communist persecution in the 1980s, he fled to Costa Rica . He has published several historical novels, including the life of the Honduran national hero Francisco Morazán .

In the novel Rey del Arbol-Madrugada , he takes a critical look at the machinations of the CIA in Honduras.
