Julius Jensen (director)

Julius Jensen (* 1975 in Hamburg ) is a German theater director , author , theater actor and musician .

Life

After high school and community service, he studied philosophy, German language and literature and media culture as well as theater directing at the Institute for Theater, Music Theater and Film at the University of Hamburg with Manfred Brauneck , Christof Nel and Niels-Peter Rudolph . While still a student, he worked as an assistant director at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus . He has been a freelance director since 2005, preferably for children's and youth theater. He has already directed and project work at Kampnagel , at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus, at the Schlosstheater Moers , at the Theater Koblenz and at the Theater der Altmark in Stendal.

Occasionally he is an actor or musician and realizes school theater projects

His play The Blue Chair, based on the children's book by Claude Boujon , premiered on December 6, 2009 at the Honigfabrik and was also shown at the Augsburg Theater during the 2014/15 season .

Jensen lives in Hamburg.
