Julius Sponheimer
Julius Sponheimer (born before 1892; died after 1901) was a Swiss life reformer and a personality of the land reform , vegetarian and theosophical movements.
Live and act
In 1892/1893, Sponheimer suggested founding the Heimgarten fruit growing association in Bülach . He was also involved in drawing up the statutes of the Eden Charitable Fruit Growing Settlement in Oranienburg .
In 1895 he founded the Zurich Center, from 1896 the Zurich Lodge, the European section of the Theosophical Society , which was dissolved again around 1900.
Sponheimer was editor of the magazine Der Mensch , the organ of the "German Bund für Lebensreform", and since 1901 published the magazine Out on the country in Eden . Monthly to promote rural settlement activity.
