history

Jumbo Interactive Limited was founded in 1995 by Mike Veverka as a software development and Internet service provider in Queensland , Australia . In 1999 the company was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange as Jumbomall.com. The concept behind it: e-commerce services for retailers worldwide who wanted to sell products over the Internet.

When the Interactive Gambling Act was passed by the Australian Parliament in 2001 , the company began brokering smaller state charity lotteries. The focus shifted further to the internet and to the ongoing development of the Oz Lottery website.

Jumbo Interactive has agreements with three state lotteries: New South Wales and Victoria (operated by the Tatts Group) and South Australia (operated by SA Lotteries).

After Jumbo Interactive had received the license for the commercial brokerage of German lotteries on the Internet in Schleswig-Holstein , the company announced its expansion to Germany and opened its first international branch in Munich, Jumbo Interactive GmbH. The German website went online in December 2013. In July 2014 the licenses and sales were expanded to all German federal states.
