Jumbo Shipping was founded by the Kahn family in 1968 as a subsidiary of their Kahn Scheepvaart shipping company . Her first ship was the Stellaprima of the Kahn Scheepvaart with four 12-ton booms . As the first new building in 1967, the 1968 Delivered Stella Nova with two 50-ton trees ordered The trend continued and had its climax with the commissioning of the type ship of the J1800 class of Jumbo Javelin in 2004. At the time of her delivery was Jumbo Javelin with two 900 t mast cranes and DP 2 the most powerful heavy lift ship in the world. It replaced the Happy Buccaneer . The shipping company currently operates 13 ships. In spring 2011 she had her oldest ship, the Fairmast , scrapped in India.
