Jumpsoles are a training device from the USA that you can use to train your own jumping ability .

This special type of shoe is strapped to normal sports shoes, which means that you walk on the ball of the foot all the time. This particularly trains the calf muscles, which are involved in every jump. The goal is to increase your own jump height, start and possibly also your speed through a plyometric training lasting several weeks .

popularity

Jumpsoles are particularly well known in basketball circles, as jumping power plays an important role in basketball. The manufacturers of the jumpsoles advertise that you can improve your own jumping power by 5 to 10 inches (equivalent to about 13 to 25 centimeters) through consistent training with the jumpsoles . This should one day achieve the goal of a dunk if you have the required minimum size. Furthermore, the start and speed should be trained through the training.

training

With the jumpsoles you can do jumping exercises, general strength exercises, sprint exercises and also stretching exercises. Most of the exercises are plyometric, which means that the jumps are performed as quickly as possible with the shortest possible ground contact times. The exercises from the training plan for jumpsoles are, for example, squats, sideways jumps or calf lifts. These exercises are also known from ordinary jumping strength training. However, through the soles they set a much more intense training stimulus.

criticism

Due to the heavy strain on the knees, the jumpsoles should only be used by experienced athletes who can handle the strain. If you do not already have this experience, you should definitely get used to it slowly at the beginning, before you start the intensive training. Before each workout, you should also warm up well and then stretch well to prepare the muscles for the load.
