Jun'ichi Watanabe ( Japanese 渡 辺 淳一 , Watanabe Jun'ichi ; born May 20, 1973 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Watanabe learned to play soccer on the Yomiuri youth team . He signed his first contract with Verdy Kawasaki in 1992 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1993 and 1994 . For the club he completed 36 first division games. In 1999 he moved to XV de Jaú . In 2000 he moved to the second division club Shonan Bellmare . For the club he completed 39 games. At the end of 2001 he ended his career as a football player.
