Juncais is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Fornos de Algodres . The community had 286 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Juncais, Vila Ruiva and Vila Soeiro do Chão were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Juncais, Vila Ruiva e Vila Soeiro do Chão . Juncais is the seat of this newly formed community.
