The Junction Corner (English for connecting corner ) is a headland in the East Antarctic Queen Marie Land . It is the place where the Shackleton Ice Shelf south of Henderson Island meets the Antarctic mainland.
It was discovered and named descriptively by the team from the west base of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson .
