Jung Me

Jung Me Chai (* 1966 in Seoul , South Korea ) is a German curator and author of Korean descent .

Career

Jung Me Chai completed her art studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in the “Audio Visual” faculty. Since then she has lived and worked in Berlin and Seoul as a curator, project manager and author. Since 2008 she has been active as an author for the ARKO webzine of the Arts Council Korea and reports on the German and European art scene. 2011–2014 she was in charge of the “Transfer Korea-NRW” project at the Culture Secretariat-NRW.

Jung Me Chai works as a freelance curator and author in Berlin and Seoul. She is the founding director of the nonprofit organization Diskurs Berlin and is a founding member of the Kunstverein 701 eV , Düsseldorf. She publishes art-related columns for The Monthly Art Magazine Wolgan Misul.
