Young Chamber Orchestra Stuttgart

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Young Chamber Orchestra Stuttgart ( JuKO ) was founded in 1960 by Charlotte Azone von Cube as a youth chamber orchestra .

Since its founding, the JuKO has dedicated itself to the entire chamber orchestra literature from the baroque to the present day. The Young Chamber Orchestra has been integrated into the work of the Stuttgart Music School since 1983.

The JuKO works with internationally known soloists such as Isabelle Faust , Jürgen Kussmaul , Christian Ostertag , Sergio Azzolini , Ingolf Turban and Hans Heinz Schneeberger . This enables the young instrumentalists to gain important artistic experience and also make valuable contacts. Performances take place regularly in Stuttgart in the White Hall of the New Palace and in various concert series in Baden-Württemberg.

Regular concert tours that have taken the ensemble to Japan, Hong Kong, China, St. Petersburg, the USA and Canada, but of course also through Germany and other European countries, are important highlights of the orchestra's work.

Alexander G. Adiarte has led the orchestra since 2007 .
