Jungo Kōno ( Japanese 河野 淳 吾 Kōno Jungo ; born July 9, 1982 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kono learned to play soccer on the school team at Shimizu Commercial High School . He signed his first contract in 2001 with the Sanfrecce Hiroshima . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 2002 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In June 2003 he moved to league rivals Yokohama FC . For the club he completed 59 league games. In 2006 he moved to league competitor Mito HollyHock . For the club he completed 40 league games. In 2007 he moved to league rivals Tokushima Vortis . For the club he completed 22 league games. At the end of 2008 he ended his career as a football player.
