Juninho Fonseca

Juninho Fonseca , actually Alcides Fonseca Júnior , (born August 29, 1958 in Olímpia , São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian football player who played in the central defense.

In his career he played for the following clubs: Ponte Preta (1974–1983 and 1989), Corinthians (1983–1986), Juventus Paulista and Vasco da Gama (1986), Cruzeiro (1987), XV de Piracicaba and Athletico Paranaense (1988) , São José (1989), Nacional Paulista (1990), Olímpia (1991), he finished his career in Japan's J. League in 1992 with Yomiuri FC .

He won the São Paulo state championship once (1983), the Guanabara Cup (1986) and the J. League championship twice (1991, 1992).

For the Brazilian national team he played four times between 1980 and 1981. He took part in the 1982 World Cup in Spain , but was only on the bench there.
