The Junior Belfast Giants (also Tesco Belfast Giants ) are a British ice hockey club from Dundonald , Belfast , Northern Ireland , which was founded in 2007 and plays in the Irish Ice Hockey League .
history
The Junior Belfast Giants were founded in 2007 to mark the founding of the Irish Ice Hockey League , in which they have participated ever since. The club was created through the merger of the Belfast City Flyers and the Northern Ireland Ice Hockey Club . The Coors Belfast Giants gave permission to use their name in a modified form. The club is the only team from Northern Ireland to participate in the All-Ireland League. The main sponsor was the British supermarket chain Tesco , which provided the players of the first team and the youth area with their equipment and provided ten jobs for players of the first team.
In the IIHL Developmental Division , a development league for the Irish Ice Hockey League, the club is represented by the Tesco Belfast Giants U20.

The home games of the Junior Belfast Giants are played at the Dundonald Ice Bowl in Dundonald, Belfast, which holds 1500 spectators.
