Junji Koizumi ( Japanese 小泉 淳 嗣 , Koizumi Junji ; born January 11, 1968 in Tochigi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Koizumi learned to play football on the school team at Utsunomiya Gakuen High School and the college team at Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract with Nissan Motors in 1988 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1988/89 and 1989/90 . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Nissan Motors became the Yokohama Marinos . For the club, he completed 73 top division games. In 1995 he moved to league competitor Yokohama wing . For the club he completed 31 first division games. In 1997 he moved to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . At the end of 1997 he ended his career as a football player.
