Juraj Ďurdiak

Juraj Ďurdiak (born April 27, 1952 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak actor .

Life

Ďurdiak studied at the Drama School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (1974) and opera singing at the Music Academy in Bratislava. From 1974 to 1976 he worked as an actor and singer at the Theater for Children and Young People (now Ján Palárik Theater) in Trnava . In 1983 he became a member of the Poetic Ensemble at the Nová scéna Theater (New Scene) in Bratislava. Since 1987 he has performed at the Chamber Opera with the Slovak Philharmonic and since 1989 he has been a permanent guest at the Chamber Opera of the Slovak National Theater . He starred in Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and German films. He repeatedly worked in operettas and musicals in the Nová scéna Theater and in the Ján Palárik Theater in Trnava. Since November 2002 he has been the artistic director of the Nová scéna Theater and since April 2006 he has been the director of the Bratislava Theater L + S.
