Peter Füri (born October 9, 1937 in Basel ; † May 11, 2015 in Muttenz ) was a Swiss football player and coach .

Füri grew up in Kleinbasel , played football for the district club FC St. Clara and later for the juniors of FC Basel . As an active player, he first played for FC Concordia Basel before moving to FC La Chaux-de-Fonds for two years .

Füri played for FC Basel between 1961 and 1965. In the 1962/63 season, FC Basel, trained by Georges Sobotka , made it to the Swiss Cup final. Füri was used in all games, but before the final he fell ill and had to pass.

He ended his football career between 1966 and 1968 at SC Binningen as a player-coach. Füri was a trained electrician and worked until his retirement as a department manager in the Coop distribution center in Pratteln.

At the age of 77 on May 11, 2015, he died of heart failure at home where he lived in Muttenz.
