Yuri Steiner

Juri Steiner (born 1969 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss art historian and German scholar .

Life

Steiner studied art history, German literature and philosophy at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate there in 2003. From 1993 he worked as a freelancer for the Kunsthaus Zürich and wrote for the NZZ . During Expo.02 Steiner was responsible for the conception and implementation of the “Arteplage Mobile du Jura”. On behalf of the city of Zurich, he realized the revival of Cabaret Voltaire . In 2005 he was co-curator of the Swiss pavilion at Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan . From 2007 to 2011 he was director of the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern . Steiner worked in the mission Literature Club of the Swiss television with and 2011/12 in the magic moment philosophy .

From 2013 to 2016 Steiner was on the jury for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize .

Juri Steiner has been managing director and curator of the dada 100 Zurich 2016 association since 2012 .
