The house lawyers Straße 1 is a Grade II listed building in Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
It is located in the center of the old town on the west side of Juristenstraße in a prominent corner location where Juristenstraße joins Coswiger Straße. To the southeast is the town's market square.
Architecture and history
The house was built in 1925/26 as a replacement bank building. The design came from the Merseburg regional building officer Heinrich Petry . The historicizing design takes up the appearance of the older buildings in the area. The eastern gable is designed as a tail gable . However, the entrance area of the house and the bank's counter hall show the strict design language typical of neoclassicism .
In local monument list the bank building is below the detection number 094 35931 as a monument listed.
