The Tacumbú correctional facility is a prison in Tacumbú, a barrio of Asunción , Paraguay .

Out of 3553 inmates in 2012, only 850 were convicted. It's crowded. About 500 inmates sleep on the floor. In 2016, six people were killed in a fire in the facility. Also in summer 2016, 120 inmates barricaded themselves in protest.

530 inmates live in a Mennonite- run and financially supported Pabellon Libertad wing.

The prominent inmates included Jürgen Hass , Adolfo Trotte and Jarvis Chimenes Pavao
