The Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de Saint-Omer is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It was founded on August 22, 2016 and comprises 53 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Longuenesse .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté d'agglomération de Saint-Omer ,
• Communauté de communes du Canton de Fauquembergues
• Communauté de communes de la Morinie and
• Communauté de communes du Pays d'Aire .

At the same time, the municipalities of Herbelles and Inghem merged to form the Commune nouvelle Bellinghem and the municipalities of Enguinegatte and Enquin-les-Mines to form the Commune nouvelle Enquin-lez-Guinegatte .
