Hallines ( Dutch Haneline ) is a French municipality with 1,195 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Omer and the canton Longuenesse (until 2015: canton Lumbres ).

Hallines is about five kilometers southwest of Saint-Omer am Aa . Hallines is surrounded by the neighboring communities Wisques in the north and north-west, Wizernes in the east and north-east, Helfaut in the east and south-east, Pihem in the south, Remilly-Wirquin in the south-west and Esquerdes in the west.

The A26 autoroute runs through the municipality .
