Pihem ( Flemish : Pittem ) is a French municipality with 948 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Nord-Pas-de-Calais ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Lumbres . The inhabitants are called Pihémois .
geography
Pihem is located about seven kilometers south-southwest of Saint-Omer . The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .
Neighboring communities of Pihem are Hallines in the north and northwest, Helfaut in the east and northeast, Inghem in the east and southeast, Herbelles in the south, Cléty in the southwest and Remilly-Wirquin in the west and southwest.
