Clerques ( Dutch Klarke ) is a French municipality with 327 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Lumbres (until 2015: canton of Ardres ).

Clerques is located about 22 kilometers south-southeast of Calais . The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .

Clerques is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Landrethun-lès-Ardres in the north and northwest, Louches in the north and northeast, Tournehem-sur-la-Hem in the east, Bonningues-lès-Ardres in the east and southeast, Audrehem in the south and Licques in the west.
