Serques ( Flemish : Zegerke ) is a municipality in northern France with 1,148 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Saint-Omer arrondissement and the Saint-Omer canton (until 2015: Saint-Omer-Nord canton ).
geography
Serques is located about eight kilometers north-north-west of Saint-Omer on the canalised Aa and is bordered by Houlle to the north and north-west, Watten to the north and north-east, Saint-Momelin to the east and north-east, Saint-Omer to the south and south-east, Tilques to the south, Zudausques and Moringhem in the southwest and Moulle in the west. The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .
