Bouvelinghem is about 15 kilometers west of Saint-Omer . The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .
Bouvelinghem is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Quercamps in the north and northeast, Acquin-Westbécourt in the east, Seninghem in the south, Coulomby in the southwest and Alquines in the west and northwest.
