Racquinghem ( Flemish : Rakinghem ) is a French municipality with 2276 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Fruges (until 2015: canton of Aire-sur-la-Lys ).

geography

Racquinghem is located about nine kilometers southeast of Saint-Omer on the Canal de Neuffossé . Racquinghem is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Renescure in the north, Blaringhem in the east, Roquetoire in the south and south-west, Quiestède in the south-west, Heuringhem in the west and Wardrecques in the north-west.

The former Route nationale 43 (today's D943) runs through the municipality .
