Acquin-Westbécourt (Dutch Akkin-Westboekhout ) is a French municipality with 833 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France (formerly Nord-Pas-de-Calais ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Lumbres .
geography
Acquin-Westbécourt is located about nine kilometers west of Saint-Omer in the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park . Neighboring communities of Acquin-Westbécourt are Tournehem-sur-la-Hem in the north, Mentque-Nortbécourt , Moringhem and Boisdinghem in the north and northeast, Quelmes in the east, Lumbres in the southeast, Bayenghem-lès-Seninghem in the south, Seninghem in the southwest, Bouvelinghem in the West as well as cross camps in the northwest.

In 1974 the two previously independent municipalities of Acquin and Westbécourt were merged.
