Mametz ( Flemish : MAMMES ) is a French municipality with 1997 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Fruges (until 2015: canton of Aire-sur-la-Lys ).

Mametz is located about 13 kilometers south-southeast of Saint-Omer on the Leie . Mametz is surrounded by the neighboring communities Rebecques in the north, Aire-sur-la-Lys in the east, Blessy in the south, Enguinegatte in the south-west, Thérouanne in the west and Clarques in the north-west.

The A26 autoroute runs through the municipality .
