Enguinegatte (Dutch: Ingwinegate ) is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Enquin-lez-Guinegatte with 447 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France .
history
Enguinegatte was the site of the Battle of Guinegate (1479) in 1479 and the site of the Battle of Guinegate (1513) in 1513 .
The municipality of Enguinegatte merged with Enquin-les-Mines on January 1, 2017 to form the Commune nouvelle Enquin-lez-Guinegatte. It belonged to the Arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the Canton of Fruges .
