Wisques (NDL .: "Wizeke") is a French municipality with 226 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Lumbres . Wisques is about five kilometers west-southwest of Saint-Omer .

The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park . Neighboring communities of Wisques are Tatinghem (ndl .: Tatingem ) in the northeast, Longuenesse in the east, Wizernes (ndl .: Wezerne ) in the south-east, Hallines (ndl .: Haneline ) in the south, Esquerdes (ndl .: Zwerde ) in the southwest, Setques in the West and Leulinghem (ndl .: Loningem bij Stratem ) in the north-west.

Benedictine Abbey of St. Paul Wisques

The Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Paul is particularly worth seeing , especially the abbey church with its Gothic elements. The monastery was founded in 1889. In 1910 it was elevated to the status of an abbey . See also the Benedictine Abbey of Wisques .

There is also a small château with facades that are well worth seeing (Monument historique since 1977).
