Noceto is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 13,040 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna . The community is located about 11 kilometers west of Parma on the Taro . To the east of the municipality is the Parco Fluviale Regionale del Taro .

Sports

The Rugby Noceto Football Club is a successful rugby club and plays in the highest Italian league.

Noceto maintains a partnership with the US city of Walnut Creek in California (since 1987), with the French municipality of Noyers-sur-Serein in the Yonne department (since 1990) and with the Moldovan city of Cricova in the municipality of Chișinău (since 2000).

The A15 autostrada runs parallel to the course of the Taro river from Parma in the direction of Tuscany to the Gulf of Genoa . The municipality crosses state road 9 in a west-east direction , which is modeled on the former course of the Via Emilia . There is a train station on the Fidenza - Fornovo di Taro railway line.
