Felino is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 9,138 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 13.5 kilometers southwest of Parma on the Baganza (a tributary of the Parma as a tributary of the Po ). The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of the Boschi di Carrega .

history

The fortification is historically significant, the origin of which is due to the structure of the building in the 9th century. The first documentary mention of this fortification dates back to 1140. Today, the Salami Museum (Museo del salame di Felino) resides in the fortification .
