Cumières is a French commune with 759 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Épernay and the canton Épernay-1 (until 2015 Ay ). The inhabitants are called Cumariots .

geography

Cumières is located about four kilometers north-northwest of Épernay and about 18 kilometers south-southwest of Reims . The Marne limits the municipality to the south. Cumières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Damery in the north and west, Hautvillers in the north and east and Mardeuil in the south.
