Clesles is located about 47 kilometers northwest of Troyes on the Seine , which borders the municipality in the south. Clesles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bagneux in the north, Étrelles-sur-Aube in the north-east, Saint-Oulph in the east, Châtres in the south, Maizières-la-Grande-Paroisse in the south and south-west and Saint-Just-Savage in the west and north-west.
