Cramant is a French commune with 894 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement Épernay and the canton Épernay-2 (until 2015: canton Avize ).

Cramant belongs to the Côte des blancs region, i. H. the area in Champagne that is almost exclusively planted with white grapes of the Chardonnay variety (exception: Vertus ). The champagnes produced from this can therefore be called Blanc de Blancs . Cramant is the gateway to the Côte in the north, the first place you come to from Épernay .
