Villeneuve-la-Lionne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Meilleray and Le Vézier in the north, Tréfols in the northeast, Joiselle in the east, Réveillon in the south and southeast, Saint-Martin-du-Boschet in the south and La Chapelle-Moutils in the northwest.
