Maizières-la-Grande-Paroisse is a French commune with 1,492 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nogent-sur-Seine and the canton of Romilly-sur-Seine (until 2015: canton of Romilly-sur-Seine-1 ). The inhabitants are called Maizièronnes .
geography
Maizières-la-Grande-Paroisse is about 25 kilometers northwest of Troyes on the Seine , which borders the municipality in the north. Maizières-la-Grande-Paroisse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Just-Sauvage in the north and north-west, Clesles in the north and north-east, Châtres in the east, Origny-le-Sec in the south, Pars-lès-Romilly in the south-west and Romilly- sur-Seine to the west.
The station is on the Paris – Mulhouse line .
