The inhabitants are called Marnois .

Marnay-sur-Seine is around 53 kilometers northwest of Troyes and around 75 kilometers east-southeast of Paris in the northwest of the Aube department on the Seine . Neighboring communities are La Saulsotte in the north and north-west, Barbuise in the north and north-east, Pont-sur-Seine in the east, Saint-Aubin in the south and Nogent-sur-Seine in the west.
