The inhabitants are called Plessiers .

Plessis-Barbuise is located around 53 kilometers northwest of Troyes and around 78 kilometers east-southeast of Paris in the north-west of the Aube department. Neighboring communities are Villenauxe-la-Grande in the north and west, Montgenost in the north and northeast, La Villeneuve-au-Châtelot in the east and southeast and Barbuise in the south.
