Gélannes is a French commune with 736 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Nogent-sur-Seine and the canton of Romilly-sur-Seine (until 2015 Romilly-sur-Seine-1 ). The inhabitants are called Gélannois .

Gélannes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Hilaire-sous-Romilly in the north, west and east, Pars-lès-Romilly in the east and north-east, Saint-Martin-de-Bossenay in the south and south-east, La Fosse-Corduan in the south and Saint -Loup-de-Buffigny to the southwest.
