Crancey is a French commune with 719 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Nogent-sur-Seine and the canton of Romilly-sur-Seine (until 2015 Romilly-sur-Seine-1 ). The inhabitants are called cranceyons .

geography

Crancey is about 39 kilometers northwest of Troyes on the Seine , which borders the municipality in the north. Crancey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Périgny-la-Rose in the north, Esclavolles-Lurey in the north and northeast, Conflans-sur-Seine in the northeast, Saint-Hilaire-sous-Romilly in the south and east, and Pont-sur-Seine in the west.
