Chauchigny is a French commune with 246 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Nogent-sur-Seine and to the community association Seine et Aube, founded in 2016 .

Chauchigny is 18 kilometers north-northwest of Troyes at the mouth of the Melda and the Seine . Chauchigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rilly-Sainte-Syre in the north, Chapelle-Vallon in the east and north-east, Villacerf in the south and Savières in the west and south-west.
