Mesnil-Saint-Loup is a French commune with 600 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nogent-sur-Seine and the canton of Saint-Lyé (until 2015: canton of Marcilly-le-Hayer ). The inhabitants are called mesnillats .

Mesnil-Saint-Loup is about 22 kilometers west of Troyes . Mesnil-Saint-Loup is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Faux-Villecerf in the north and west, Dierrey-Saint-Pierre in the east and northeast, Dierrey-Saint-Julien in the east, Estissac in the southeast, Neuville-sur-Vannes in the south and Aix- Villemaur-Pâlis to the west and south-west.
