Soragna is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4830 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 22 kilometers northwest of Parma .

history

In 712 the village of Soragna was first mentioned in a document from the Longobard Liutprand . The lords and margraves Lupi have lived here since 1198 and the princes Meli-Lupi since 1513 .
