Sissa Trecasali is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7820 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna . The community was created on January 1, 2014 through the merger of the previously independent communities of Sissa and Trecasali .

The municipality is located about 18 kilometers north of the provincial capital Parma and about 100 kilometers northwest of the regional capital Bologna . It borders directly on the province of Cremona ( Lombardy region ) and is in the climatic classification of Italian municipalities in zone E, 2 499. The town hall is in Sissa. The municipality lies on the rivers Taro and Po , which flow together just north of the district of Gramignazzo.

The neighboring municipalities are Colorno , Fontanellato , Gussola ( CR ), Martignana di Po (CR), Parma , Roccabianca , San Secondo Parmense , Torricella del Pizzo (CR) and Torrile .
