Borut Semler (born February 25, 1985 in Murska Sobota ) is a Slovenian football player who has been under contract with the Austrian SV Feldbach since January 10, 2018 .

Career

Until he was 14, Semler played in the youth department of NK Mura , the football club based in his birthplace, before he moved to NK Varaždin and stayed there until June 2001. In the following three seasons he was part of the youth department of FC Bayern Munich, with whose A-youth he won the German Junior Championship in 2002 and 2004. Then he made the jump to the second team , for which he played 48 regional league games in two seasons and scored 10 goals.

In January 2007 he moved to the Croatian first division club NK Varaždin which he left again at the end of the year. After returning to his home country in 2008, he only appeared ten times for the Slovenian first division club NK Domžale during his eight-month membership . From August 24, 2008 to December 9, 2009 he played 27 times for league rivals NK Drava Ptuj and scored nine goals; the table ninth remained after a successful relegation in the Slovenska Nogometna League, the highest Slovenian league.

From March 27, 2010 (1st matchday) to November 6, 2010 (40th matchday) he was active for the Russian second division club Mordowija Saransk .
