Robbio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 45 kilometers northwest of Pavia , about 17 kilometers south of Novara and about 13.5 kilometers east-southeast of Vercelli . The community is not far from the Sesia . Robbio borders directly on the province of Novara .

history

Roman graves can be identified from the 3rd century AD. Possibly the place is even older and identical to the place Redobium , which Pliny the Elder described. In the Middle Ages, the area was owned by the Duke of Milan.

The municipality is located on Strada Statale 596 di Vignola . A station has existed since 1882 on the Vercelli – Pavia railway line .
